Funeral and Memorial Services
Having conducted over 300 Funeral Services, I am an experienced Independent Celebrant here to help you and your family through a very difficult time in your lives. Losing a loved one is so very sad but I am here to help you create a very special Ceremony to celebrate their life.
I have been conducting funerals and memorial services for many years now and each and every family that I meet are so very different and want their service to be special. I am here to do this for you. I am a compassionate, kind and gentle Celebrant and will always listen to your wishes and your needs. Funerals and Memorial Services in more detail…
When your loved passes away, often it is the Funeral Director who is your first point of contact. They will then put you in touch with me. Alternatively, you may wish to contact me directly, and I will then guide you accordingly. Whichever way you come to me, I will then arrange to meet you in your home or a venue of your choice. At our meeting I will talk you through the service slowly and compassionately and together we will start to shape the service that you want for your loved one.
You may want to choose a completely non-religious service, or you may want to include religious content. Alternatively, quite often my families don’t want a religious service but would still like the Lord’s Prayer or a hymn. Occasionally my families want to include family members either reciting Poems or singing – anything is possible. I will guide you and it will be entirely your choice.
To help you through, I have a sample of Poems and Music which have proved to be very popular and have been used at my Services in the past. This will help to guide you through deciding on what content you may want in your Service.
Memorial Services and Interment of Ashes
I also conduct Memorial and Interment of Ashes services, all tailor-made to your wishes. A memorial service can be conducted at a venue of your choice and absolutely anything is possible. It does not have to be restricted to 40 minutes and can be as long or as short as you want it to be. It could be held in a hotel or a village hall, outside or inside – it is again entirely your choice.
